Step 1: Agent Licensing
We’ll take you through the process for obtaining your state insurance license:
- Pre-Licensing Training
- State Insurance Exam
- Applying for License
Step 2: Agent Training
Once you apply for your license, there will be processing time at the state Department of Insurance.
During this time, you can start Step 2: Agent Training


Step 3: Carrier Appiontments
Once you have a copy of your resident state insurance license and your E&O Certificate, you will be able to complete contracts for appointment with each insurance carrier and start selling!

Get Licensed
These steps take you through the process for obtaining your state insurance license.

Take Exam

Apply For Your License
Apply For Your State License
Once you have passed your state’s insurance license exam, you will follow the guidelines for your resident state’s Department of Insurance (DOI) to get licensed.

Obtain E&O Coverage
E&O Coverage
Once you have an active insurance license, you will need to obtain Errors and Ommissions Insurance (E&O). Most insurance carriers will require you to carry E&O coverage in order to get appointed to sell their products.

Complete Carrier Contracts
At this point you should have a copy of your resident state insurance license and your E&O Certificate. You will need both of these items, as well as a copy of a voided check (for direct deposit of commissions), in order to complete your carrier contracts.
